2024 Bond Program, Investing in Student Success

Shadow Ridge Middle School Bond Projects

Through the 2024 bond, Shadow Ridge Middle School will undergo campus-wide improvements designed to improve the learning environment, school safety and comfort. In all, bond projects at Shadow Ridge will total between $6.4 million and $7.6 million.

Over the next several years, the district is replacing aging heating, cooling and lighting systems throughout the school to create a more comfortable, inviting space for students and staff.

As part of the 2024 bond, the district is also repurposing existing classrooms to create dedicated spaces for career and technical education (CTE). These environments will engage students in practical, hands-on learning tied to real-world careers. These flexible spaces will be used to teach students about a wide range of topics including design, entrepreneurship and business, allowing students to explore new interests and develop valuable skills. The CTE expansion is part of a district-wide push to provide younger learners meaningful opportunities to discover their strengths and begin shaping their futures.

Safety enhancements include new intercoms, upgraded fire alarms and better door security. Investments to the school’s athletic fields, irrigation systems and parking lots will ensure the campus is inviting to students, staff and visitors alike.

Projected construction budget:

$6.4 million to $7.6 million

Bond Investment Areas at Shadow Ridge Middle School

The 2024 bond is focused on improving and updating facilities across the district. All bond projects will benefit students, staff and the community by investing in our buildings and – by extension – investing in our community. These investments vary from paving and resurfacing projects to major interior and exterior overhauls to update school furnishings and finishes.

All schools are also receiving comprehensive IT upgrades through the 2024 bond. These upgrades will support faster network connections and support advanced classroom tools. IT projects will also boost school safety and security, with improved security cameras, exterior door sensors and updated safety systems.
