Good Afternoon Ramillies!

It's been a hectic week as staff prepared for and received 6th-8th grade students from Thunder Vista P-8, but one I am happy to say prepared us for the influx of approximately 300 students.  So far, it has been largely uneventful and I am happy we are able to provide space for these students to continue receiving their education.  

On to a few important announcements:

 

Attendance Policy Reminder

Just a reminder that each semester, students have 5 excused absences that can be put in with just a parent phone call to our attendance line at 720-972-5048.  When calling in an absence for your student, please make sure you spell your student’s first and last name, provide their grade level, and leave a brief reason for the absence. Once those 5 excused absences are used up, a note from a medical practitioner or other authorized official must be submitted within 2 school days of the absence to excuse any additional absences beyond the first 5. Signed notes may be turned in to the main office or emailed to Amanda Smathers.  You can read the full attendance policy online for more information.

 

7th & 8th Grade Volleyball

Practice starts tonight and runs from 4-5:30 and will be in the large gym.

 

Horizon High School Community Bingo Night

When: January 30th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Horizon High School’s Student Center with a $10 entry fee (this also includes 10 bingo cards with the option to purchase more!)
What: Bingo Fundraiser with lots of exciting prizes!
Who: Open to families, feeder schools, elementary students, and the entire community!
