Many of us are privileged to know twelve year old Brianna Simmons.  She is a beautiful young lady with a contagious smile, a passion for horses and quest for life that no one can match.

Brianna is an energetic 7th grader at Shadow Ridge Middle School where she is active in school plays, softball games and part of the National Junior Honor Society.  Outside of school you can find her drawing pictures of horses under a tree, supporting her younger brother Jacob in football, or striving to be the best player she can be on the Mustangs softball team.

The Simmons family is full of excitement.  Jason is a long time Police Officer with ties to both the Broomfield K-9 Unit and currently the Denver Gang Unit.  He is also an assistant coach to both Jacob and Brianna, and a supportive father.  Kandi, Brianna’s Mom, is usually the one running around with sport drinks, snacks, and yelling her support while also working full time and taking care of her family.  Last but not least is Jacob.  He is an eight year old boy who believes no matter what, that his sister is not only incredible but truly amazing.

Brianna is loved by so many and truly leaves a great impression with all that come into contact with her.  She is a typical twelve year old girl who will sing all her favorite songs out loud, dance all night with her family and friends or just simply play guitar hero until her fingers go raw.

Last weekend, Brianna was faced with a life threatening challenge. After a week of feeling down and tired she noticed two small bumps on the back of her head.  After what mom hoped to be a regular doctor appointment, Brianna was sent down to Children’s Hospital where the family would learn that Brianna has Acute AML Leukemia.

Not only was Brianna sick, but now she is faced with the fight of her life.

Shying away from wanting to ask others for help, we are asking as their family, friends and co workers that everyone joins together for Brianna’s fight.

WE have set up a foundation in Brianna’s name, in the hope that we can help this family as they fight for their daughter and raise money that will go towards Brianna’s medical expenses.

Many don’t realize the amount of strength it takes to fight this illness and Brianna has the strength of 1000 horses.  Her family needs your help.  Please help us fight with Brianna.
